Australian Consumer Law

This policy operates in addition to rights customers may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where goods do not satisfy applicable consumer guarantees, customers may be entitled to remedies including repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances and seriousness of the problem.

For a major problem with a product, Australian consumers can generally choose between a refund and a replacement. For a minor problem, the business generally has an opportunity to provide an appropriate remedy. A store policy cannot remove statutory rights concerning faulty products.

30-Day Voluntary Return Period

In addition to statutory rights, reasonclothingx.shop accepts eligible change-of-mind returns requested within 30 calendar days after delivery.

To qualify for a voluntary change-of-mind return, the product must generally:

  • Be returned in substantially the same condition in which it was received;
  • Be unused, unworn and unwashed except where reasonable inspection was necessary;
  • Be free from damage caused after delivery;
  • Retain original tags where applicable;
  • Be returned with original packaging where reasonably possible; and
  • Include sufficient proof of purchase.

A customer's statutory rights regarding faulty, defective, unsafe, incorrectly described or otherwise non-conforming goods are not limited by this 30-day voluntary return period.

How to Request a Return

Before returning a product, customers should contact:

info@reasonclothingx.shop

The return request should include:

  • Customer name;
  • Order number;
  • Product being returned;
  • Reason for the return; and
  • Photographs or videos where relevant to a damaged, defective or incorrect-product claim.

We will review the request and provide return instructions where required.

Customers should not send a return to an address obtained independently or from a shipping label without first contacting customer support, because the appropriate return destination may vary depending on the product, order and fulfilment arrangements.

Change-of-Mind Returns

For an eligible change-of-mind return accepted under our voluntary 30-day policy, the customer is responsible for reasonable return shipping costs unless we expressly agree otherwise.

Original shipping charges are not applicable to standard orders because reasonclothingx.shop provides free standard shipping.

Products returned under the voluntary change-of-mind policy should be appropriately packaged to reduce the risk of damage during transportation.

We recommend using a trackable return service where reasonably available.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

Customers should contact us as soon as reasonably practicable if an order arrives:

  • Damaged;
  • Defective;
  • Unsafe;
  • Incorrect;
  • Missing a material component;
  • Materially different from the product ordered; or
  • Otherwise inconsistent with applicable consumer guarantees.

Contact:

info@reasonclothingx.shop

Please include the order number and, where reasonably possible, photographs showing the issue.

We may reasonably assess the product before determining the appropriate remedy. The ACCC recognises that businesses may assess products before providing a remedy.

Where the problem is covered by applicable Australian Consumer Law rights, we will provide the remedy required by law.

Major Problems

Where a product has a major problem for the purposes of the Australian Consumer Law, an eligible consumer can generally choose between:

  • A refund; or
  • A replacement of the same type.

A major problem can include circumstances where a product is unsafe, very different from its description or has a serious problem that would have prevented a reasonable consumer from buying it had they known about the problem beforehand.

Any statutory refund will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

Minor Problems

Where a problem is minor and can reasonably be remedied, we may provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable Australian Consumer Law requirements.

If a minor problem cannot be remedied within a reasonable period or an appropriate remedy cannot be provided, further rights may become available.

Return Shipping for Faulty Goods

Where goods are faulty or otherwise fail to meet applicable consumer guarantees and the customer has a statutory entitlement to a remedy, return arrangements and reasonable return costs will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

Customers should contact us before incurring significant return costs so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Exchanges

Where available, customers may request an exchange for another size, colour or eligible product.

Exchange availability depends on stock availability at the time the return is processed.

If a requested replacement is unavailable, we may offer another appropriate option or refund where applicable.

Nothing in the exchange process limits statutory rights.

Non-Returnable Change-of-Mind Items

For hygiene, safety or practical reasons, certain products may not be eligible for voluntary change-of-mind returns where they have been opened, used or are no longer suitable for resale.

Examples may include:

  • Personalised or customised goods;
  • Products clearly made to customer specifications;
  • Personal-care or hygiene-sensitive goods after their hygiene protection has been removed;
  • Gift cards;
  • Digital products after supply has commenced where legally permitted; and
  • Products damaged by misuse after delivery.

These voluntary exclusions do not remove rights that apply where a product is faulty or otherwise fails to comply with applicable consumer guarantees.

Sale and Promotional Products

A discounted or promotional price does not, by itself, remove statutory consumer rights relating to faulty or non-conforming goods.

The ACCC states that businesses cannot use policies such as “no refunds or exchanges on sale items” to deny consumer-guarantee rights.

Eligible sale items may also be returned under our voluntary 30-day policy unless the product is expressly excluded from change-of-mind returns for a lawful reason disclosed before purchase.

Proof of Purchase

We may request reasonable proof that the product was purchased from reasonclothingx.shop.

Acceptable evidence may include:

  • Order confirmation;
  • Order number;
  • Payment record;
  • Email receipt; or
  • Other reasonable evidence linking the purchase to our store.

Refund Processing

Once an approved returned product has been received and, where necessary, inspected, we will process the applicable refund.

For voluntary change-of-mind returns, we aim to initiate approved refunds within 10 business days after completion of the return assessment.

The time required for the refund to appear in the customer's account may vary depending on the customer's bank, card issuer or payment provider.

Where required by Australian Consumer Law, statutory refunds will be handled in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

For a major product problem, the ACCC states that the refund should be for the full amount paid for the product and should ordinarily be provided using the original form of payment unless the business and customer agree otherwise.

Refund Method

Refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method used for the order.

Where this is not technically possible, we will contact the customer to arrange an appropriate alternative.

We will not require a customer entitled to a statutory monetary refund to accept store credit instead where doing so would unlawfully restrict the customer's rights.

Late or Missing Refunds

If an approved refund does not appear within the expected processing period, customers should:

  1. Check the relevant bank or payment account;
  2. Contact the card issuer or payment provider if appropriate; and
  3. Contact info@reasonclothingx.shop if further assistance is required.

Order Cancellations

Customers wishing to cancel an order should contact us as soon as possible at:

info@reasonclothingx.shop

We cannot guarantee cancellation once fulfilment or shipping has commenced.

If an order has already shipped, the customer may need to follow the applicable return procedure after delivery.

Refused or Unclaimed Deliveries

If a package is refused, abandoned or not collected for reasons unrelated to an error by reasonclothingx.shop or the carrier, the resulting return will be assessed before a refund is issued.

Any lawful and reasonable costs directly caused by the customer's refusal or failure to collect may be considered when processing a voluntary change-of-mind refund, subject always to applicable consumer law.

Misuse and Damage After Delivery

Statutory consumer guarantees do not ordinarily provide a remedy for a problem caused by customer misuse after purchase. The ACCC also identifies misuse by the consumer as a circumstance in which consumer-guarantee remedies may not apply to that particular problem.

Fraudulent Return Activity

We reserve the right to investigate return requests reasonably suspected to involve fraud, abuse, substitution of products or falsification of evidence.

This does not permit us to deny legitimate rights available under applicable law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Return and Refund Policy from time to time.

Changes will apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.

The current version will be published on reasonclothingx.shop.
